Black Friday travel deals have returned after a two-year absence, with some bargains available for South Africans looking for an island break.
Discounted international flights, accommodation and holiday packages have been absent from the Black Friday promotional period for the past two years due to pandemic-induced travel restrictions. This year, airlines and travel agencies are offering discounts for holidays in 2023 and into 2024.
For most of the two years spent under lockdown, South Africans were restricted from visiting popular island destinations. Travel to Zanzibar, Mauritius, the Seychelles and the Maldives is now being promoted during Black Friday.
Flight Center offers almost 40 island holiday packages, ranging from R13 000 per person for a trip to Zanzibar to R51 990 for a holiday in the Maldives.
